Doughnut Catering: Why doughnuts are the perfect treat for your next event.
When planning an event, there's a lot of stress in making guest lists, buying decorations, seating plan and to add even more to the mix, you also have to worry about food; whether you need to keep plates hot, consider dietary requirements and even presentation.
This is where I introduce the solution: DOUGHNUTS!
Yes, it may sound rich and biased because we here at Planet Doughnut are completely infatuated with that delicious dessert. However, we are not the only ones who feel this strongly; worldwide doughnuts are worshipped for their sweet, fluffy interior, and in our case, their meticulously decorated tasty exterior. Doughnuts are also a great source of energy, once being used as a boost of morale for soldiers back in WWI, the perfect sweet treat to get you through the day.
Doughnuts are the exclamation point of celebration.
Doughnuts are what foodie daydreams are made of.
Doughnuts are the sweetness that carries us through the week.
Today I will share some reasons why doughnuts need to make an appearance at your next event, whether that's a birthday, a wedding or even an office party, our doughnuts are versatile.
Reason number 1:
With doughnuts, the possibilities are endless, and they can be used to demonstrate creativity, especially at parties with younger kids. Perhaps decorating a doughnut could just be what they need to express their ideas and feelings?
Get ready to DIY your own dessert by having a do-it-yourself doughnut station! It's a win-win as your guests can create their perfect dessert using their favourite flavours by combining icings and toppings, such as sprinkles and biscuit crumb. You can make your own completely bespoke doughnut with an expertly curated taste.
A way to display this: Make a donut tower with plain or glazed doughnuts, you could even use one of our donut walls if desired (we have ones that hold doughnut quantities of 18, 24 and 42).
Icing can be placed to the side in piping bags, alongside any toppings which you desire. You can even add a drizzle option, for example, syrup and honey.
Last step: Use our single bags or boxes for the guests who want to take their doughnuts home or who don’t wish to eat yet and use napkins for those who wish to enjoy them at that moment.
Reason number 2:
Something that is always dreaded after hosting is the cleanup. No matter how therapeutic you find it, it is always a spirit killer to find crushed onto your favourite tablecloth along with drink stains.
This is an issue that doughnuts have nothing to do with!
Doughnuts can be easily & simply served using napkins, bags, or boxes. Things that don’t need to be washed! It would certainly be more therapeutic to have a smaller dishes pile, don’t you think?
Reason number 3:
During WWI, doughnuts were used as a sort-of dopamine booster. It’s perfect, who dough’snt love sugar?
When one eats a doughnut (hopefully a Planet Doughnut), they will experience huge surges of dopamine, where the glucose is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream helping to improve current mood and aid your alertness.
So, with that, there is proof that doughnuts make you happier! So, when your guests are getting sleepy, roll out the doughnut tower (if you didn't introduce it earlier) and your guests will be bounding back to the dance floor!
Reason number 4:
Doughnuts are aesthetically pleasing. Take ours for example, delectable with luscious icing and glazes to taste, but also extremely easy on the eyes, fudgy brownie additions, colourful sprinkles and topped with some of the nation’s favourite sweets.
Whichever way you choose to display your doughnuts, the attractive design is assured to make them look appetizing in any display, even if they are just laid out on plates.
