Birthday Doughnuts for Olly Murs

Birthday Doughnuts for Olly Murs

On Monday, May 13th, we received an urgent email via our website contact form from the management team of Olly Murs. Within less than 24 hours, we found ourselves hand-delivering customised doughnuts to the Utilita Arena in Birmingham to celebrate a very special birthday.

Olly Murs, who has been touring as the support act for Take That, one of the UK's most iconic bands, has been captivating audiences across the UK since the tour began in April in Sheffield. With six scheduled performances at the Utilita Arena, Olly warms up the crowd with an hour-long set featuring his top hits before Take That takes the stage. The "That's Life" Tour spans two hours, highlighting Take That’s journey from their debut album in 1992 to their latest album release, "This Life".

Olly celebrated his 40th birthday on May 14th while on tour, and Planet Doughnut was delighted to contribute to the festivities. When Olly’s management team contacted us the day before his birthday to request bespoke doughnuts, we eagerly embraced the opportunity. We hand-cut, iced, and decorated the custom ‘OLLY 40’ doughnuts, along with Olly's favourite flavours Salted Caramel Bisc’ and Cookies & Cream doughnuts, featuring 40th edible toppers. Our team had the privilege of personally delivering these special treats to the Utilita Arena for Olly’s surprise birthday party. To top off the occasion, our team also enjoyed attending the concert.
